Kenny Shields has passed away

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenny Shields, who passed away earlier today.

We were lucky enough to have Kenny Shields & Streetheart perform at Dauphin's Countryfest3 times over the years. 

Kenny's legacy and memory will live on forever through his music. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, band mates, friends, associates and many fans.

Permanent Roof Structure for Dauphin`s Countryfest

Construction of a permanent roof on the Main Stage at Dauphin’s Countryfest has commenced, and will be complete for this years’ festival in July.  The structural steel roof measures 48’ high and will house a 60’ x 40’ new stage in the 14,000 seat outdoor amphitheatre.   The pro-active resolution to execute the project was overwhelmingly approved by the Board of Directors. “We’re very proud that we’re ahead of the curve with respect with the new regulations coming down respecting temporary stages at outdoor festivals” said Pres ...more

Johnny Reid performs to a sold out crowd in Brandon

Johnny Reid performed in Brandon at Westman Place (Keystone Centre) on April 26th to a sold out crowd of 5900 fans. 

Carolyn Dawn Johnson opened the show with a beautiful acoustic set and there was an appearance from surprise special guests The Stellas.

Johnny made a stop in Brandon while on his cross Canada Fire It Up Tour.

The crowd loved the performance Johnny Reid put on and he proved why he is one of the best Canadian performers around!

This show was presented by Dauphin's Countryfest.

Countryfest Applauds Federal Government Investment in Community

Plans for the new permanent steel roof structure over the existing main stage at the Selo Ukraina site are one step closer to completion with assistance from the Government of Canada. On behalf of the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Robert Sopuck, Member of Parliament (Dauphin-Swan River-Marquette) announced today that through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund $151,700 has been contributed toward the project.
