Carla Davidson, Janis Evans, Cynamon Mychasiw and Tyler Horan from the United Way of Brandon & District display a cheque for $752.40 from Dauphin's Countryfest, representing earnings from volunteering at the Main Gates during Countryfest 2014. These funds support programs involving counseling, literacy development, basic food and shelter needs and family coping skills.
Greg Thompson from the Dauphin Lion's Club receives a cheque for just over $4500 from Brenda Basarba of Dauphin's Countryfest for their work with Beverage Services during Countryfest 2014. Their proceeds support community service programs including in 2014, The Watson Art Centre.
Cathy Fafard from the Canadian Parents for French organization receives a cheque for $640 from Allison Watson of Dauphin's Countryfest. The group volunteered at the Main Gates during Countryfest 2014, and their proceeds supported French cultural events including class trips for Grade 8 and Grade 12 students to Quebec and France.
Kathy Adam from the Dauphin Ochre Band Organization receives cheques totaling $16,744.00 from Brenda Basaraba of Dauphin's Countryfest for their work with the recycling and garbage processes at Countryfest 2014. Their proceeds will be used to fund student band trips and to purchase new instruments.
