Dauphin’s Countryfest Postponed to 2021 Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

NEW! - Dauphin’s Countryfest Adjusts 2021 Festival Dates to July 1-4 2021

April 21, 2020 (Dauphin, MB) – After announcing the postponement of Dauphin's Countryfest earlier this month, the organization has decided to adjust the 2021 festival dates to July 1 - 4, 2021 instead of the June 24-27, 2021 dates that were originally announced on April 9, 2020.
“Over the past few weeks, we have been working diligently on all the details related to postponing the event. Throughout the process and ongoing consultation with artists, volunteers, service providers and fans, we have decided to adjust the dates towards the July long weekend. Some of our ongoing discussions have been with other Manitoba event organizers who find themselves changing their plans to next year as well," said Rob Waloschuk, General Manager. "We're confident that our adjusted date will be best for everyone involved with Dauphin's Countryfest and other Manitoba events. We thank everyone for their patience and apologize for any confusion that this brings. We are now on track to make a comeback for 2021 with an event that will be one for the history books!".

With the dates for 2021 now solidified, Countryfest will honour all tickets purchased for the 2020 event in 2021. More information and ticket details will be sent out to all ticket holders later this week.

April 9, 2020 (Dauphin, MB) – It’s with heavy hearts that Dauphin’s Countryfest announces the postponement of the 2020 festival due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Dauphin's Countryfest has been part of Manitoba’s summer celebrations for over 30 years. Our festival is a pillar in our community providing both social and economic benefits, such as funds raised for volunteer organizations to jobs created through goods and services needed to operate the festival. The Board of Directors have taken all of this into consideration as we map out a plan of action during this unprecedented situation presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. In consultation with our municipal and provincial leaders, and with the welfare of our festival patrons, volunteers and community in mind, the Board of Directors have made the decision to postpone the July 2 to 5, 2020 festival until June 24 to 27, 2021,” said Ann Ransom, President.

“This has been a really difficult week and we’re devastated to share this news with you. This is my 30th year with Dauphin’s Countryfest so it’s hard to imagine a summer without the event,” said Rob Waloschuk, General Manager. “We thank everyone for their understanding and patience as our team works through all of the details surrounding the rescheduling of our festival. We look forward to celebrating with you in 2021.”

We will be reaching out to each and every ticket purchaser in the coming weeks with options and details as we want to make this process as seamless as possible for everyone. Please be patient with us as we follow the guidelines of provincially mandated regulations for public health and safety and therefore require additional time to work through the processes. More information regarding the rescheduling of the festival and the transfer/refund process will be released in the coming weeks through our website at www.countryfest.ca and social media channels.

With our deepest concern for all those affected by this world health crisis and subsequentially our unavoidable decision to postpone to 2021, we thank you all for your support, patience and understanding as we work through this together.
